Most people start at this point coming by land over the friendship bridge from Thailand or international by air to the close airport.
Vientiane has view tourist attractions and some temples to offer which we easily did in one day walk. Yes you can easily walk it in one direction as it`s not a really a big city and its very safe too …
The nice thing is that most of the temples you have nearly all for yourself.
Except the view famous sites like the Asian Arc the triumph (Patusai) and the national symbol – the temple That Luang.
In the evening hours the streets turn into a big playground with street hawkers and shooting ranges like back in the 80ies – typical Laos …
