No.1 Dive in the World - Yongala Wreck <2009.08.05>

I was waiting for this moment for a very long time - it was always a dream of mine & one of every fellow diver ... to make the Number One Dive in the World!

Sure there are mainy different ratings but neverthenless the Top10 are mostly the same.
According the one I follow it is the Yongala Wreck at the coast of Ayr:

The dive team at Ayr - Alva Beach has the fastest connection and the longest experience with the Yongala. They offer professional service, good equippment, helpfull staff & an nice aussie BBQ after the dives! I really can recommend them:

After a 35min ride on the Yongala Express we finally could roll back and get down to the wreck.

More details on the S.S. Yongala you can find here:

It is breathtaking when you see her shapes the first time.

Not only the wreck, there is an unusal high amount of fish, corals, anything you can think of ... it is plentyful available!

A lot of rare stuff too - like sea snakes, bat fish, nurse sharks, turtles

Some of the remaing items of the ship - candeliers

the engine

the toilets ;-)

There is really nothing compareable along the GBR as far I know.

On top this was my 200th dive - I am sure I won`t forget this one!

Happy Anniversary
