Brisbane and its Golden Coast <2009.08.10>

Our next stop is the capital of Queensland & 3rd biggest town in Australia - Brisbane.

The city isn`t really on top of the tourist lists and mostly used just as a stop over. However the city can easily compete with its big brothers Melbourne & Sydney.

Here you have similar attractions - but everything closer together, which makes it easy to explore on foot.

You pass by the city skylines ...

on the way to the botanical garden ...

and on to several historical churches

More famous is Brisbane for its surf coast just outside the city. Names like Surfers Paradise tell everything about those places!

So we are heading down the so called Gold Coast to get some got shots of the locals catching a wave...

Just be careful where you park your car!

Its time to leave the crowds behind and look for more deserted places just for us alone ... difficult?!
NO - quiet easy! Just an other 100k south you find beaches like Red Rock or Mongo Brush where you have all the beach just for yourself!

Just AMAZING!!!

Enjoying beautiful sunsets along the coast and soaking up the last summer days here in Oz.

From dusk till dawn
